Rutland Dry Creosote Remover, 1 lb. Tub is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works good for stanless chimneys Used this product for 3 years now. Just not happy that Tractor Supply does not have the two pounders. The one pound does not last very long. I will be looking for a place to buy the two pounder containers. Which I bought from Tractor Supply two years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from creosote cleaner review I have a very large wood boiler that has several 2 inch tubes. Cleaning it was getting harder and harder due to the fact that my wood had not been seasoned. the creosote was like a hard coating that would not brush out. after buying this product and putting it to use the creosote became flakey and crystalized, so my brushes would get out the rest out. I will use this product all the time now.

How long do you have to wait to work to restart the fire.

Asked by: Nerak25
The best way to use this product is to apply to a hotbed of coals and proceed to build up the fire from there.

It says it works for pellet stoves, but then says it needs to be put on a hot bed of coals... can it be put in the pellet stove first, or just added into the hopper?

Asked by: noNickname123
Dry Creosote Remover is not a recommended product for pellet stoves. Rutland Products recommends using Liquid Creosote Remover under item 97L for pellet stoves.
