PC Small Angle Grinder with Trigger Grip is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I've had two - #1 good, #2 very bad design change The first one was great. I finally fried it from heavy use but no complaints. I liked the ergonomics and how it operated for the tasks I mostly used it for, which most recently was grinding out mortar between exterior tile. A lot of on-and-off for hours at a time so the trigger style switch was perfect. Note - This first one did NOT have a "safety" button and looks like the model in the picture above as of right now. I bought a replacement, opened it up and immediately noticed - with dismay - the small "safety" button on the trigger switch, plus there is a big bump out on the trigger switch. Sure enough, it is very awkward and difficult to operate. It has to be depressed in a very certain direction and manner or it won't depress - you can't just squeeze it and go. It has caused serious pain and fatigue in my fingers - from trying to depress it to start the grinder, to holding it down while using it. In short order, it required first a press with my thumb, flipping the grinder over, and holding the button down with my finger. EXTREMELY AWKWARD AND TIME CONSUMING - AND PAINFUL. This grinder has a lock-on button but I do not want to operate in constant-on mode given the nature of tasks I am performing. In any case, the lock-on button sticks in the "on" mode and cannot be released simply by depressing the trigger switch. I have to hang onto the grinder and unplug it, then smack the side of the grinder and even then it doesn't readily release. This was the case with the first grinder as well in the rare circumstances when I wanted constant "on." I own 20 or 30 power tools, including many Porter Cable. Shame on Porter Cable, one, for even adding the safety button (who needs it?) and two, for doing such an incredibly poor job in designing every aspect of it. Obviously this was not designed or thought about in the context of real users. It is a cheap feel-good, unnecessary piece of junk. If you can find one without the safety button, I recommend it. If you are any more than the most casual user of a grinder, do not buy this grinder with the safety button.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the TRIGGER The 4 1/2" angle grinder with trigger 7.5 amps has plenty of power and easy to use. I bought 3 of them to set up with three different wheels so I can grind with one, pick up another with a wire brush and then a finish sanding disk without having to stop and change out different wheels. Great product (3) registration was hard to do but they are Porter Cable with a 3 yer warranty-can't go wrong. BUY ONE NOW

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Grinder Love this grinder, lots of power, more comfortable to use, better balance great design except for 1 complaint, as somebody that uses my grinder a lot, I'm moving the guard to different positions constantly, to move this one is a pain, you have too pull the wheel, unscrew 4 screws that hold the guard, move the guard then screw it all back together, its a pain, then put it back the way it was. That's my only complaint. Fix that with a retrofit to move the guard easily for the existing grinders it would be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from powerful Be careful if you use knotted wire brushes, I almost went through hull of my sailboat when I intended to knock off a little paint.
