The paddle switch angle grinder delivers 11,000 RPM, with soft start for smooth start-ups. The cut-off angle grinder also features a range of durability features including labyrinth construction which seals and protects the motor and bearings from dust and debris for longer tool life, as well as a protective zig-zig varnish engineered to seal the armature from dust and debris.

Makita grinder used on hooves

I recently purchased a Makita 4½ in. Paddle Switch grinder at TSC. It has been a great tool for use in trimming horses hooves with the proper hoof grinding wheels. It is easy to handle, the paddle is very convenient, it's startup and smooth operation does not alarm the horses. It has good balance and does not feel awkward when operating it one handed, as did a previously purchased brand grinder. I would highly recommend this grinder. Also, the case it came with was an added plus!
