I have had this grinder for over 6 years . Works better then most cord grinders. I see some of you complaining about battery life . Get the bigger battery last 5 times longer and the Torque is unbelievable it will easily cut quarter inch half inch steel with the right technique . You can't go all out and force it let it cut the metal use a good cutting disk and works great .

This thing is a toy. If you want it to cut off nail heads maybe but if you are a welder you will be very disappointed. Shuts down in the slightest bind and the battery life is very short

4 1/2 porter cable grinders

I purchased my second 4 1/2 to cut and grind some pavers on a walkway so they would lay better. Also to take the top of two wood benches that needed to be reshaped in preparation for a finish sanding.. ...the Brushless version 4 1/2 grinder. I use for metal...both work well and deserve a excellent rating and are more than capable to do the work mentioned
