Grow big, beautiful desert plants with Miracle-Gro Garden Soil Cactus, Palm & Citrus! Moisture Control protects your plants against over and under watering. In addition, this garden soil feeds for up to 3 months and contains iron and bone meal to prevent leaf yellowing. To use, create a hole for your plant, referring to the plant tags for the appropriate size. Blend a 50:50 mix of garden soil and native soil. Mixing the soils avoids creating a barrier between native and garden soils, which allows roots to expand easily for more vigorous plant growth. Build a mound in the hole. Score your plant's roots (cut along the sides and bottom) and plant it in the ground. Water your plant to finish. This garden soil is for in-ground use only. We recommend wearing gardening gloves and washing hands after using this and other planting materials. One 1.5 cu. ft. bag of Miracle-Gro Garden Soil Cactus, Palm & Citrus fills one 24-inch plant hole.

Mold!

I opened 2 bags of this soil today and they both had thick whitish blue mold on top! The odor was overwhelming! I will not be buying this soil again.

Avoid!

I bought a 1.5 cu. ft. (42.47 L) bag of this product from a big box store to transplant my seedlings. To my surprise upon opening the bag, the whole top third or half of the bag is covered with so much of what seems like spores, yellowish mushrooms growing on one the side and dead brown mushrooms on the other. The dead mushrooms have roots that are interwoven that held the whole chunk of soil kept its shape when I shuffled the bag to see if there's any usable soil. The spores and mushrooms go beyond the surface of the soil--they actually make up the top portion of the bag. Since there's so much contamination, I'll have to throw the whole bad away. I'd like a refund please.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Nice soil

We bought this soil because it said citrus and palm soil. We used it to plant a lemon and orange trees in large pots on our patio. After I finished I saw on the back of the bag in not very large letters not for containers. Too late plates are in and we don’t have any other dirt to mix in with it. I’m hoping they will be alright.
ConsProblem with label

Yes, I recommend this product.

Works great for variety of plants

I dont have a green thumb. In fact I'm the type of person that has tried and tried again to grow the simplist plant successfully and failed. I use a mixture of regular Miracle grow potting soil and fast draining cactus/succulent soil. I have a variety of plants from normal garden flower to spider plants, purple heart, spider plant and even my hanging Ivy plants. Every single one of em loves this soil. I can tell their happier, healthier and absolutely exploding with growth. I highly recommend using Miracle Grow products.
ProsEasy to Use, Quality, Effective

Yes, I recommend this product.
