The measurement of the hatch opening is: Hatch Hole Outside Measurement 7 ½ Hatch Hole Inside Measurement 6 ¾’s Hatch Hole Depth 7 5/8’s The hole opens up to the inside of the kayak and is not contained. We do have a bucket that fits into the opening that can be purchased through customer service if desired.11 months agoHelpful?

- A: Your kayak should have 6 scuppers. Two directly behind the feet braces, two behind the seat pad and two in the rear tank well. None of these should be plugged. Received it looked better than I thought it would. I wish I had noticed the lettering was messed up when I picked it up. But it was outside for who knows how long. The product itself was excellent other than that.
