Harris Horticulture Grade Perlite is ideal for promoting root growth and healthy soil in container plants. Horticulture grade perlite helps soil to retain moisture and nutrients while preventing root compaction. It is most commonly used for orchid, cactus, and succulent planting mixes that like to be on the drier side and in hydroponic setups, as a standalone growing medium.

  • Horticultural grade perlite; pH neutral, non-flammable, odorless, non toxic, and will not decay or shrink overtime
  • Harris perlite promotes healthy roots; mix in 25% concentration to improve drainage and promote root growth
  • Helps soil to retain moisture and nutrients while aerating and preventing root compaction
  • Use this horticulture grade perlite with cuttings, bulbs, soil, composted bark and more
  • 8qt size goes a long way when used with container plants as recommended

    Aeration

    Bought to aerate the soils in my raised beds which was compacting quickly. Seems to work but haven’t had a chance to plant yet.
