DEWALT DWHT83550 Tough Series Construction Jack

I picked up two of these and used them to lift various items, but the most useful task was loading a 300 lb server rack into a truck bed. I placed one jack in the center of each side and raised them both up to the max height. It allowed the server rack to then be tilted into the truck bed quite easily. Everyone that has seen these immediately appreciates the quality and thinks of a job they could have used these for in the past. I love these!

A great little tool that while I feel should come with a pair at the price of 125$ but thats just my opinion. Anyhow when I caught them on sale for 65$ in may of 2026 I immediately grabbed one to help with a solo water heater install where it performed well. I’ve since tho used it for so many things I can’t even remember all of them. I’ll say I undoubtedly used it so much more than I expected I would. Lifted my washer no problem so i could change the belt. Has made lifting the tires and holding them in place a breeze when rotating the tires on my Fj cruiser which I never thought I’d use it for, another unexpected use case was using it as a spreader to pry a car door open enough to use a hanger to unlock it and retrieve a motorist’s keys that were locked in the car when the inflatable shim wasn’t strong enough which sounds wild but worked well and left no damage tho I was careful. I’ll add that the dewalt ime is far superior to the Irwin model especially in ergonomics and you can even use your foot to engage the dewalts whereas the Irwin you have the squeeze it to engage and it’s just a much more fatiguing design, especially if you had carpal tunnel or arthritis something like that imho even tho they’re both essentially just beefy clamps meant to spread or lift the DeWalts ergonomics are far better for my taste as well as the fact dewalts the only one to have released accessories post launch for these such as the base and a 2x4 holder if I recall.

This is like having a second pair of hands when working on something that needs to be held up while you are installing it.
