Designed with a low oil shut-off sensor, this unit includes 0.6-quarts of 10W-30 oil. Operate your Dual-Fuel generator right out of the box on gasoline or propane, and easily switch fuels with our patented fuel select dial that allows for safe switching between fuel sources. Using gasoline, the 208cc Champion engine produces 4375 starting watts and 3500 running watts, and will run for 14 hours at 50% load when the 4.7-gallon fuel tank is full. It produces 3950 starting watts and 3150 running watts, and will run for 10.5 hours at 50% load when using a 20-pound propane tank. Also included is a 6.5-foot propane hose with a built-in regulator. With a noise level of 68 dBA from 23 feet, which is a bit louder than a vacuum, this machine can provide home backup in an outage, plus the Volt Guard protects your generator from electrical voltage spikes. - A: This generator will put out the standard total harmonic distortion (THD) rating of about 12%-20% depending on load applied. They will produce a sine wave, not a modified or square wave. This is perfectly acceptable for running common commodities found in your home such as TVs, computers, your appliances, etc. THD is a measure of the deviation of a sine wave from a "pure" sine wave. All electricity, including line electricity, has measurable THD. If you have a specific item that requires less than 3% THD such as a UPS style battery backup, a pellet stove, or high efficiency furnace control board, we recommend purchasing a Champion Inverter Generator (sizes from 2000W to 11,000W); Champion Open Frame Inverter (sizes from 4250W to 9000W) or a Champion Home Standby Generator (range from 8.5KW to 22KW); all units provide less than 3% THD. This is a great (small) generator to have in case of an outage especially when it's on sale at $300 off. I wanted one to be able to run the necessary things like the fridge and lights and maybe a window ac if needed, I have a wood stove so I wasn't so concerned about running the furnace. The instructions are clear and it's easy to assemble and I attached it to a propane bottle and it fired up on the 3rd pull. The battery was DOA so I called Champion warranty and they said they were out of stock right now but put me on a list for one once they arrive in December. Honestly this is so easy to pull start but it's nice to have the electric start in case the wife needs to get it going if I'm away. The dual fuel is really the best way to go so there's no need for gas storage (gas pumps don't work during a power outage) and no worrying about whether the carb is all gummed up from sitting so long. We're building a new house and I'll have a transfer switch along with a connection to the 500 gallon propane tank which will make things even easier. The generator came with a storage cover, propane hose and the wheel kit which is nice for easily moving it around. 100% happy with this purchase!
