Great generator/motor

I purchased this to use at my cabin at 7200 feet in altitude. The manufacturer claims it is not recommended above 3000 but I couldn't find out why. All engines run richer with less oxygen at higher altitudes but this motor runs as well as my lawn mower and other power tools. Perhaps the motor is reduced form 7 HP to 6 but it works well for me. Great price for dual fuel 3500w generator.

High altitude

It does not start above 3,000 feet. I had to call the company and I’m waiting for a high altitude jet kit. The jet should have been in the box with the generator. It only costs a few dollars.

It has fuel options!

My smaller generator needed a repair so l pulled enough cash together to buy this new generator, which was on sale, saving about half the price. The generator can use gas or propane or natural gas. We have used it with gas and it works great! I like that it has fuel options and the ability to run a few things at once.

Good but Bad generator.

Good but not built for longevity. The generator will instantly start, but after 8hours of use, the generator will shutdown and not restart. Until you add oil to engine. The low oil safety works very well. I have purchased three of these for a remote farm. Each work flawlessly for at least a year. The ignition coil with the spark plug WiLL burn off guaranteed. I have had it happened on all my generator and auger made by Sportsman brand equipment. Parts covered under warranty but not Labor. Repairs are not very easy for me.

Excellent running Generator, easy to setup.

Runs fine!
However, I believe the amount of propane being used is far more than stated in the information in the description prior to purchase.
There is no Eco-switch either. It runs at one pre-set idle until an increased load is placed on the generator.
