Q: Is there a maintenance kit for this genny? If so, what is the part #?
5 years ago- A: I don’t have one for my propane generator, just be sure the battery is charged, sufficient oil and I have 3 propane tanks for mine. Sorry I couldn’t answer your question5 years agoHelpful?
Q: I don't see a switch on the control panel to change the voltage from 120 to 240V as some of your other models have. How is this accomplished? We need to operate both 120 and 240 on a jobsite. Thank you
6 years ago- A: The 120/140 Volt AC., 30 Amp Twist-Lock Receptacle is located to the bottom right of the voltmeter.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Where is it imported from?
6 years ago- A: While the product is manufactured in China, we are a US owned and operated company. Our products are designed and engineered here. Thank you.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can the 30 Amp plug be replaced with a 50 Amp plug and if so how does that impact running a15,000 RV A/C
7 years ago- A: This generator supplies 5,500 watts at 240V which is about 23 Amps per 120V leg. A single 15,000 BTU Rooftop AC unit will require you have a 120V 30A power source in most cases. You can use an adapter to change the configuration of the outlet from a 30A to a 50A but it does not increase the power the generator has to offer. If you want to run a rooftop AC on an RV, choosing a generator in our 4,000 watt class is more appropriate. If you want to run a rooftop AC or possibly two on a 240V 50A RV, then you would be better suited to choose a generator of at least 7,000 watts. The formula used is Amps X Volts = Watts. The goal is to provide the AC with at least 120V at 30A. Thank you.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Where is it made?
7 years ago- A: Champion is a US owned and operated company. Our product is designed and engineered by Champion Engine Technology near Milwaukee, WI. It is supported by us here at Champion headquarters near Los Angeles, California and Toronto, Ontario, Canada as well as our multiple depots in the US. The product is manufactured at our factory, in China, to our exact specification.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this a manual or electric start generator? If manual start, do you have a 5000-6000 watt generator that is is electric start and not dual fuel?
8 years ago- A: Sorry, we do not have an electric start model in the 5-6,000 watt range at this time that is not also dual fuel.8 years agoHelpful?
