Rated 1 out of 5 by from Different from the old model... built cheap Not like it used to be...The one I bought 5 years ago is made well with heavy duty cast parts and is still going strong. The one offered now, though advertised as the same at the same price, is made very cheaply with lightweight stamped and plastic parts. Top heavy, tippy, and loose tolerances. I returned it promptly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Issues galore I'd like to preface this review by stating that I rarely return tools like this, as it's generally easier to repair them myself, but in this case, that wasn't feasible. When I assembled the press, the aluminum column support, and the column ring both had poor threads, which stripped out during assembly, making the column insecure as well as the gear on the column. I still decided to keep it at this point, because I figured I'd just retap the holes with a larger courser thread. But upon using the press, I realized there was an extreme amount of runout/wobble, and I even replaced the Chuck and taper hoping it would solve the problem. Additionally the Chuck ground like crazy trying to tighten, and wouldn't fully tighten around bits. I ended up returning it without issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad chuck Poor quality chuck, not grounds evenly. Larger bits wobble. Need to replace the chuck or might just return the entire drill press.
