The G7945 34" Benchtop Radial Drill Press was named as one of the Best Drill Presses for Contractors or DIY Projects by Tool Digest. Boasting a powerful 1/2 HP motor, the G7945 smoothly powers the five spindle speeds ranging from 550 - 3000 RPM. The headstock can be tilted 90° right, 45° left, and slid forward or backward over the column allowing you full adjustability. To make sure that you get the best use of the table, the drill press features rack-and-pinion elevation controls-adjustable 24-1/2" vertically, 90° tilt (left and right) and is capable of 360° rotation around the column. The JT33 keyed drill chuck is fitted to the JT-33 spindle taper and offers up to 3-1/4" of travel and a colossal 14" swing. The chuck accepts drill bits from 1/16"-5/8". You can set the adjustable threaded depth stop for predetermined and repeatable drilling. The G7945 can easily drill holes through fiberglass, plastic and composites and has a maximum capacity to drill through a half inch of steel without bogging down. With heavy duty power and a massive amount of working area, the G7945 will eat the vast majority of projects without complaint. Like all Grizzly drill presses, the G7945 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. Made in an ISO 9001 Factory CSA certified

good little machine

bought this machine early this spring and assembled it upon coming home in august. the box was beaten up pretty bad, but the styrofoam liner did its job in protecting the contents well. while there are some points to critique, the overall impression of the machine is pretty good. the shipping company lost the package and Grizzly didn't dawdle and immediately sent out another that finally did arrive. customer service at Grizzly is perhaps the best i have dealt with ever. i made an unboxing and assembly video for youtube and give my honest impression and opinion on the machine. as a machinist of course i can be somewhat picky about some aspects of machinery and so i did some upgrades of bolts and bearings during the assembly process overall not a bad little machine that should give good service life in my woodshop, and with the upgrades it should outlive my by quite a margin

Good working drill press

Bought this drill press and got it in about a week ago, so far it is working great for my kind of work.

I bought the redial drill for its angled drilling feature and adjustable depth and they work well. Only disappointment is the lack of a spindle lock, it would be a nice feature

Horrible product

I would not recommend this tool. grizzly cut a few to many corner in manufacturing this product. the chuck is very wobbly,Grizzly tech could not trouble shoot a correction with me. The table plate cannot support anything over 10 pounds without it bending and all the locking nuts cannot adequately hold the machine still.
