Ventilation holes near the top of the shelter provide temperature regulation, for the comfort and safety of the nestlings, while a unique thumbscrew at the base of the front panel keeps the home securely latched. Open this panel for nest checks, or to move the included sliding baffle. This wooden panel rests within grooves on the sides of the home, and can sit at the bottom of the roost to protect eggs and nestlings during maintenance. At the end of the season, or if you opt not to house owls, slide the panel upward and use the included wooden tabs to keep it in place, blocking the entry hole. Securely mount this unit to a post or tree by drilling through the back and top lip.
