This is a great beginner pole

Not sure I wanted to invest a lot of $$ on a hobby I was unfamiliar with but this pole fit the needs, makes it easy to lower pole. Clip springs tend to get brittle if left to the elements all year ( I had to get a replacement set), recommend storing the pole during off season.

need optional base sleeve

one must order the ground insert directly from the company at a cost of $24.00 with shipping fees, $13.99 for the sleeve and $9.95 for shipping, the company itself is very slow in shipping so your going to be waiting for close to 2 weeks to get the item.
the pole itself to insert it into the house,i found using a thick feeler gauge over the pins to help getting the pins into the floor holes aided me, assemble the roof inplace on the upper pole section. LAST, those pins are hard to get into the plastic floors of the bird house .

Aweful Design-ground stake special order

1 this pole came with 0 instructions 2) the pole keys to lock the sections in the extended position are a joke 3) there is 0 ground stake included which is a huge problem because this pole is a triangle, not just any ground stake will work. Don't waste your money, just buy 10 ft sections of round top rail for chain link fence
