Item Information

The American FarmWorks 30 Mile AC Low Impedance Fence Charger is used to control all livestock, pets, and poultry, as well as repel predators and nuisance animals in locations that have access to AC power. This charger powers a range of up to 30 miles of fence and works in heavy weed conditions.

Low impedance electric fence chargers have low internal resistance; which allows for increased joules on the fence line. This means that energy can push passed weeds or vegetation to keep the fence hot.

The American FarmWorks 30 Mile AC Low Impedance Fence Charger can be used with all wire types including high tensile, poly wire, poly rope, and poly tape..

  • Energizes 30 miles of fence wire under optimal conditions
  • For use in heavy vegetation conditions
  • "Fence OK" indicator light shows when charger is activated
  • AC power, 1.2 joule output, low impedance
  • Operates American FarmWorks fencing, including high tensile steel or aluminum, poly wire, poly rope, and poly tape
  • Use it to safely contain bulls, cattle, exotics, fowl, goats, horses, pigs, predators and rabbits
  • 2-year limited warranty for peace of mind

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well Simple to set up. Strong signal that really keeps the cows off the fence. Even the bull stays back

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not at all satisfied with this controller. I bought this 30 mile electric fence controller with the expectations that it would contain six goats in an 1 1/2 acre orchard, half of which is fenced with no climb horse fence. The design requires less than 1,000 feet of electric fencing with three hot wires, so one would think 30 miles would be sufficient. IT IS NOT! The goats seem to think the wire is just for their amusement. I think the timing of the shock is the problem. The fence is dead less than it is hot. I am going to my local Tractor Supply now to see if I can exchange it for the next larger size or a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work long I’ve gotten 2 of these & both of them quit working after about a couple of months. The 1st one I took back & it was replaced with the same one, which didn’t last much longer than the 1st.

Installed an electric poultry fence, with positive/negative wires & metal clips at the end of each. I have a 15 mile fence charger, but I'm not sure how to attach the fence to the charger. I think I need additional cables with clip ends?

Asked by: Joe Bro
We recommend contacting the manufacturer of the poultry fence for additional assistance with installation.

We bought this for a 10X10 (wrapped around it 5 times) space to keep predators away from our chickens. A neighbor checked the fence and said it measured 10 on the meter. What does that mean/is that too high? Will it do permanent damage to a dog at 50lbs?

Asked by: komd
This energizer will output 8,500 volts (+/- 20%) without any wires attached. We recommend using a fence tester when testing the fence line as a volt meter will not provide accurate results. Electric fencing can be used for animals above 10 pounds.

Got the fence hooked up, have a constant pulse blinking.  Does that mean it’s on and working or do I have an issue?

Asked by: Clueless1
The "Fence OK" light on this energizer will pulse with the current that is flowing through the unit.
