The American FarmWorks 1.2 Joule 30-Mile AC-Powered Electric Fence Charger is used to control all livestock, pets and poultry, as well as repel predators and nuisance animals in locations that have access to AC power. The electric fence energizer powers up to 30 miles of fencing and works in heavy weed conditions. Low-impedance electric fence chargers have low internal resistance to allow for increased joules on the fence line. This means that energy can push through weeds or vegetation to keep the fence hot. The versatile 30-mile fence charger can be used with all wire types, including high-tensile metal, polywire, polyrope and polytape. For assurance, the electric fence controller comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

Ok, it works, and if that's your only criteria, then the price isn't too bad. The features leave much to be desired though. The indicator light is so small, and so hidden, that you practically have to put your face on the case to see it. This is NOT handy if you want to look out your window to make sure the fence is on. Likewise, the sound that this unit makes is almost imperceptible from as little as 10ft away. That means that there is essentially no warning that you're about to get a good shock. NOT handy. Instead of buying a unit like this, shop around and get yourself a Parmak. They have a decent warranty, and Parmak units are repairable at any reputable shop.

The "on" light cannot be seen in daylight....

This controller does "click" to indicate it is working, and a shock proved that. But that little light is no where near bright enough for daytime. What were they thinking.
And the offer to "extend the warranty to 3 years" from a QR code on the box only goes to TSC website and no farther. What a scam that is.
