Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly Excellent for difficult stallions This box has been a game changer. I recently acquired a stallion who is very hard on fences, he'd run, pace, slam into them, and has crumpled a few panels with just sheer brute force. Adding a strand of straight or hot rope to the top and powered by this box really put the fear of God into him. He's now very respectful of the fence, and is always telling me the fence is hot by reaching out and showing it to me. It has stopped the panicked pacing and slamming into things. We've also used it for a nice sized paddock for two horses made from two strands of hot rope next to the said stallion for socialization purposes. This has been an exceptionally good box, great value and best of all- it really works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps the escapees in for good! We moved our horses to a new pasture about a month ago. Never had to run power on our old fence, so were hoping they would stay in their new large, green, grass filled home just as well. We were wrong. After three broken fence wires, this box has finally done the trick. One hit from it and they haven't tried it again. My husband had the unfortunate luck to hit it one day, and he agrees. Ha! Even our lab ducks a littler lowers going under it these days. Perfect box for the price.

I have bought and installed 30 mile electric charger. I have a indicating light from the charger that's on. Using polytape 1/2" wide on several occasion have seen rabbits and ground squirrels going through the fence line. the tape is 5" apart with 3 rows.

Installed an electric poultry fence, with positive/negative wires & metal clips at the end of each. I have a 15 mile fence charger, but I'm not sure how to attach the fence to the charger. I think I need additional cables with clip ends?

Asked by: Joe Bro
We recommend contacting the manufacturer of the poultry fence for additional assistance with installation.

We bought this for a 10X10 (wrapped around it 5 times) space to keep predators away from our chickens. A neighbor checked the fence and said it measured 10 on the meter. What does that mean/is that too high? Will it do permanent damage to a dog at 50lbs?

Asked by: komd
This energizer will output 8,500 volts (+/- 20%) without any wires attached. We recommend using a fence tester when testing the fence line as a volt meter will not provide accurate results. Electric fencing can be used for animals above 10 pounds.

Got the fence hooked up, have a constant pulse blinking.  Does that mean it’s on and working or do I have an issue?

Asked by: Clueless1
The "Fence OK" light on this energizer will pulse with the current that is flowing through the unit.
