The Agri-Fab 48 in. Tow Behind Lawn Aerator can remove 3/4 in. dia. by up to 3 in. length soil plugs from a lawn, in turn allowing compacted soil to loosen up. This is in addition to the benefits provided by a plug aerator. The lawn aerator is best for easily compacted soil like clay, heavy-traffic areas such as playgrounds and sports fields and drought damaged lawns. The weight tray included with the lawn aerator can hold up to 140 lb. allowing for increased soil penetration by the 32 aerator knives. Buy well in advance of when you need it. Spread out all parts and check them off the parts list including quantity in the instructions as soon as you open box. Be sure to check the machined parts for correct number and location of bolt holes as well. Be prepared for missing or incorrect machined parts. Register the product then submit a request for missing and replacement parts. Wait. Will take time to get them. Very frustrating. Turn-around time from purchase to use = 2 weeks. 1 missing part and 2 others needed to be replaced. So much for quality control.

I bought this to aerate my one acre lot. The unit works perfectly after putting 4 pavers in the tray area. I am very pleased with the results.
