Assembled, trial run successful

I purchased this 48" plugger/aerator from a retailer; it was discounted because a previous purchaser had returned the box of parts. I assembled the machine, took it for a slow test pass over slightly rain-moistened soil, the machine performed quite well. We're on four acres of turfgrass, I'm anxious to see how well the machine performs in the future. **One word of advice: having used a smaller Agri-Fab plugger in the past, this machine is NOT designed to tolerate reverse movement with the core knives down as it will strain the towing tongue to the point that the tongue may break, which is likely not covered by the machine's warranty. I would advise the manufacturer to clearly state this in the owner's manual, and perhaps state it somewhere on the device itself.

It works, assembly was fine, tines need protection

It was a bit of assembly, but pretty straightforward. I would recommend putting duct tape on the tips of the tines before starting so you don't have cut up hands and arms like I had. It would be nice if they came from the factory with some kind of rubber dip on the tips. The aerator works. I only used it once, and I'll be interested in seeing if the dried plugs that stayed in the tines come out without pressure washing.

Really shocked

Bought this one year ago, stored inside, this year the tongue has split with two(2) cinder blocks, maybe 30lbs… cheap thin steel. Parts are almost as much as a new one. Never again

Wonderful piece of gear.

This is a wonderful minimalist non powered machine. Very well put together kit of parts. Good directions. I believe for the working man that there is not a better more affordable piece that will do a better job. Read directions and use correctly and clean when you are done and it will last many many years and give great service. Thanks Agri-Fab
