Rated 4 out of 5 by from De-Thatcher Review I received this product to de-thatch my yard. I came in box and needed assembly. Instructions were adequate and show in picture form. Its a good thing I have some mechanical ability or assembly may have been an issue. After first use I am satisfied in the performance of this product. I did need to add some weight in order to get the results I needed. I would have given this 5 stars but in trying to register the product online, I needed the date code off of the label on the unit. The label was not legible and was smeared badly. Poor ink used on the label. Why ink? You should consider stamping the tag or include the model # and date code on the registration card that was included with the assembly instructions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great Bought this de-thatcher for my 1 1/2 acre lawn, works great but needs containment blocks to keep weight from sliding around or falling off during use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality We didn't like it. The quality was poor and would never last. Not worth the time and money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it's supposed to do I have used this for 1 season in Massachusetts approximately 6 times . I load the sled with weight and find it pulls out allot of junk . I have a new house that has a badly compacted thin coat of top soil . Typical of contractors up here . I put this under allot of pressure along with the AF Aerator to try and break up this horrible top soil . So far it has been up to the task .

Does the Agri-Fab 48" Dethacher fit on the back of the XT1 riding mower?

Asked by: DJSnow
Dear DJSnow - Thank you for inquiring about the Agri-Fab dethatcher for your lawn care needs. This dethatcher is equipped with a universal pin hitch. As long as your mower has a rear hitch the dethatcher will hook up. If you have additional questions the Agri-Fab customer care team is available Monday - Friday between 7 am to 5 pm CST at 800-448-9282.

I had a large number of cedars mulched on our property and have several large and fairly thick areas of mulch that I would like to spread out to a larger area. Would this accessory be a good choice? Are the tines stiff enough to move the mulch?

Asked by: akjam
Dear akjam - Thank you for inquiring about an Agri-Fab tine dethatcher for your lawn care needs. A dethatcher will stir up the mulch but is not recommended for moving mulch. A rake or shovel is better for moving mulch.
