I drink two servings of coffee in the morning, one before a workout and one after my shower. Instead a making two seperate servings in my Bodum, I purchased the Yeti to make one large portion and to keep my second serving hot. The heat dropoff is very disappointing, compared to how my Yeti travel mugs keep my coffee hot (and how cold my water bottle keeps drinks) and considering the price point. I suspect, as pointed out in some reviews, it is the lack of a slide closure on the lid, similar to the travel mugs. (I have yet to McGyver a decent stopper on my own.). Re-engineering the lid may correct the heat loss. Everything else is about the product is up to Yeti standards. The filter in particular works well. Fundamentally, it has to succeed in keeping the coffee hot. As a side note, I could not register my product. Scanning the QR code automatically filled the correct serial number in the filled, yet the site would not recognize the serial code.

The plunger screen works well and keeps the grounds out of the coffee. The spout opening seems a bit large. It pours a wide stream. It also drips off the spout edge (not leaks) when stopping the pour. The pot is usual Yeti high quality.
