The powerful, yet quiet South Bend SB1094 dust collector with wireless remote is perfect for any shop, large or small. It has the collection capacity to be used with up to four machines at once, and the convenient portability of swivel casters for point-of-use versatility. You can start it up from anywhere in the shop, thanks to the wireless remote, and use the timer settings for automatic shutoff. On top of that, even at 5 HP, this dust collector won't add too much noise to an already loud shop environment, thanks to its built-in muffler system and balanced 15-5/8" steel radial fin impeller. The two-stage dust collection deposits larger chips into the primary collection drum, while cyclonic action funnels smaller particles and fine dust into the pleated spun-bond polyester 1-micron filter. Automatic, power-driven paddle brushes clean the filter, depositing the dust into the plastic collection bag for disposal, ensuring maximum efficiency. Additionally, you will be able to monitor your dust collector's performance with the external vacuum pressure gauge indicating normal operation, when it is time to clean the filter, and when to replace it. These high-end features coupled with unrivaled performance and durability make South Bend dust collectors the choice for uncompromising woodshops.

I bought this dust collector back in Dec of 25 , I have been having issues with the plastic bag collapsing on me when its running . I do know that the suction hoses are working because when pulling the container out i can see them pulling the plastic bag to the bottom and the sides .When i roll the container in and clamp it down it draws the bag up and my molder chips do not fall into the bag the are then sucked into the filter which in turn clogs up the whole dust collector . Even when I install the 4 way dust port it does the same thing . Right now its hooked up to the 10" out put port to a central dust collection system and I'm having difficulty with the bag collapsing trying to get this figured out . Talked to Grizzly about this and the tech said it was a issue with leakage so i sealed up everthing and still have the same issue . Any thoughts to this problem would be helpful .

We apologize for the frustration you've encountered, and it sounds like you've taken troubleshooting steps and consulting with our Product Support team. Because dust collection system configurations can vary significantly depending on ducting layout, airflow requirements, machine connections, and operating conditions, making it difficult to diagnose the exact cause. We would encourage you to contact our Product Support team again with details about your complete system setup, including photos if possible, so they can further evaluate the installation and help identify any factors that may be contributing to the issue. We appreciate your feedback, and we want to help you find a solution that gets your dust collection system performing as intended.

    Satisfied!

Our company purchased this vacuum in March of 2024 to manage outtake of fiberglass dust from one of our making machines, and it has been a huge success. The dual chamber filtration is what we needed- catch barrel for the large debris, and a massive chamber for the fine particulate. The self-cleaning mode after shutdown is a neat feature. The barrel/fine filter bag has good capacity. We run for 8 hours per day, almost every day and still only have to empty the bags every few months. The vacuum is loud, but it is not noticeable during the day when our other machines are making equal or greater noise. Portability of the vacuum unit was not much of a concern for us, but it has helped.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Satisfied so far!

I bought this dust collector recently, but still took me some time to run the necessary wiring, I didn't realize that this model comes without a plug, just 3 wires that you need to hardwire directly into the disconnect switch. This is a big piece of equipment, definitely need at least 2 people to assemble and more people to stand up (blue top and motor is extremely heavy). Very important note here for future buyers and Grizzly: the machine wasn't starting for some reason, but the electricity was running , because the drum filter cleaning mechanism was working. So I had to take the main start/stop box lid off, and electricity was comming into the box, but not coming out of the box to go to the motor to start. First I thought that something was broken, but there was a little red reset button, once I pressed on it, the machine started without any problem. So not sure what was wrong with it, BUT THERE IS A LITTLE RESET BOTTON INSIDE THE START/STOP BOX THAT IS NOT VISIBLE FROM OUTSIDE. So any future buyers please note that!!! At the same time Grizzly never mentioned anything about it in the instructions. If I can edit this review later, I will add pictures, because I don't have pictures when I am writing this review.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

We appreciate your thorough feedback on the assembly process and wiring setup. You're right, this is a heavy-duty machine that requires multiple people for safe installation. Your note about the reset button inside the start/stop box is especially helpful and could assist others in troubleshooting similar issues. We will share your feedback with our team for review. Thank you for sharing your experience and providing valuable insights for future buyers.
