RUTLAND Brick & Stone Cleaner is formulated to remove smoke residue, soot, and creosote from masonry surfaces, like your bricks or stone surrounding your fireplace. Brick & Stone Cleaner contains an industrial-strength solvent to dissolve buildup and a heavy-duty surface cleaner to penetrate and remove grime and greasy dirt. RUTLAND Brick & Stone Cleaner will penetrate and dissolve buildup on most any stone or sealed brick without the use of dangerous acids. Brick & Stone Cleaner can also be used on an asphalt roof to remove chimney smoke and grime.DIRECTIONS: To ensure compatibility, we recommend testing Brick & Stone Cleaner on a small unseen area before treating larger surfaces. Area to be cleaned should be at room temperature. Dampen area to be treated with water. Liberally spray dampened area with Brick & Stone Cleaner. Clean off any overspray on metal and glass right away. Will not harm metal and glass, but it will be difficult to remove after drying. Scrub brick and stone vigorously with wet non-metallic brush to get deep into pores. Thoroughly rinse with clean water and DO NOT LET AREA DRY until all traces of cleaner are removed. Repeat the process if necessary. If using outdoors, use care to protect area vegetation. for persistent dark stains, use peroxide mixed with small amount of white vinegar as a cleaning agent.
