If you plan on using a paint sprayer to apply Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm & Implement Paint it should be thinned up to 15% by volume using mineral spirits for an air-atomized spray. Airless sprayer application should be thinned up to 5% by volume also using mineral spirits. -Rust-Oleum Product Support 14a year agoHelpful?

Q: Can you wetsand and polish the paint

- A: Surface can be recoated within 1 hour or after 48 hours. If recoating after 48 hours, repeat the surface preparation steps. Light wet sanding with 600 grit sandpaper is recommended. The freshly coated surface can be buffed with wax or polish after one week.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this stick to painted cinder block? And how about a tar shingle exterior wall? I know those are not intended surfaces. I would like to know if there are any specific materials to avoid etc. Thanks.

Unlike every other review listed, this IS NOT PART OF A SWEEPSTAKE!!!
This paint is garbage. Coverage is nonexistent. Even after two coats of “Caterpillar Yellow” (It’s actually a bright John Deere yellow) the rusty metal primer still showed through when applied with a brush or roller.
There are no words to express how bad all Rustoleum paint is now that they need to me EPA guidelines.
I through out the one quart I opened and will return the other. I will never buy Rustoleum products again.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm & Implement Paint. Making a drastic color change, like from our Rusty Metal Primer to Caterpillar Yellow, will negatively impact coverage and require additional coats to reach the desired look.

Great paint

I used this paint on an older tractor I have been restoring. This paint stuck great and covered nicely. Did a little sanding on the parts I painted and it went on great. Spray is strong and even and doesnt run even when put on a little heavy.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a great Ford Blue paint! First off, it matched our ford tractor perfectly! We also have a few antique toy tractors we’ve had lying around in desperate need of some love and this paint made them look brand new!

Bought the fit husband who is always fixing up his cars paint due to rusting from being older. He loves how durable it is post application and how quickly it dries. It also doesn’t leave streaks for noticeable differences.
