A: Yes, it can be used for this purpose. Please bear in mind that the same application caveats (specifically apply in very thin coats, and allow 24 hours to dry between coats) will need to be followed for wrought iron, just as it would for painting a tractor.

A: Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement Enamels are hard-drying, tough & durable oil/alkyd coatings and would make a great choice for painting a wrought iron handrail – please bear in mind that the same application caveats (specifically apply in very thin coats, and allow 24 hours to dry between coats) will need to be followed for wrought iron, just as it would for painting a tractor.

A: Yes, Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement Aerosols may be applied direct to Self-Etching Primers as long as the surface is clean, and free of any powdery oxidation (remove by solvent wiping with mineral spirits). If the Self Etching Primer has dried to a shiny appearance, a light “scuff-sanding” with a very fine grit paper will help with a tight adhesion to the SE Primer. Follow instructions carefully on both products (Primer & Enamel finish) with regards to the recommended applied thickness of the coating, and the allowable recoat time of each. Do not apply either product too heavily, and allow product to dry thoroughly before recoating…

A: A: Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement Enamel Matte Black is touch & durable, high solids, oil/alkyd coating that exhibits excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance. Majic T&I Matte Black is a low-sheen finish that dries down to a low satin to eggshell finish (10 units @60° gloss meter)… Please be aware that most oil/alkyd matte coatings will apply slightly glossy – then dry down to the designed sheen in 2-3 days. Please be sure to read & follow label directions, regarding surface preparation & application, with attention to the recommended applied thickness, and allowable recoat times. A: Majic Tractor & Implement Matte Black Enamel is made of the same resins as is the gloss versions within the same product line, and are very hard-drying and durable coatings – and would be suitable for use on a truck tool box. From an aesthetics perspective, please keep in mind that all matte, and low-sheen finishes, will dry with slightly less abrasion resistance than will their high gloss counterparts – this is due to the heavier pigmentation necessary to absorb resin, and dry to a “flatter” finish - and may result in more noticeable scratching, or burnishing of the paint film (depending on exposure). Please note that Majic T&I Matte Black may also be used with Majic Catalyst Hardener for greater abrasion resistance, and accelerated curing. You should also be aware that matte finishes will apply at a higher sheen than they will ultimately dry down to (depending on atmospheric conditions at the time of application, this may take a few days to tone down to a true “matte” finish). All application caveats apply to the application of Matte Black as with the gloss enamels….Specifically, (1) application in thin coats (recommended 2.5 mils wet), and (2) allow a minimum of 24 hours to dry between coats. Too heavy an application, and/or re-coating too soon will result in a film that won’t dry “hard” for several days or longer.

A: Yes. Just remember that the same application instructions and caveats apply (apply in thin coats, allow 24 hours between coats – air & surface temps should be between 70-85 degrees F, with relative humidity at, or below, 50% ( If possible)

A: Yes. This paint will work for race cars, please allow 24 Hours between coats.

A: Chrome can be a very difficult surface to paint due to the hard, slick and impervious nature of chrome. Oil based products, such as Majic Tractor & Implement Enamels, require penetration for maximum adhesion, and cannot penetrate chrome.

A: We suggest you paint it with Majic T&I Matte Black Aerosol, but also would recommend that you apply 1 or 2 applications of Majic Plastic Adhesion Promoter first. Majic Plastic Adhesion Promoter sort of etches into the plastic, creating a profile, and allowing for a tighter mechanical bond between the surface and Matte Black. A primer would not be absolutely necessary.
