If it is with an air-atomized sprayer, thinning is not required, and we start with a tip size of 0.055-0.0700. With a 25-60 psi. If it is an airless sprayer, no more than 5% of volume with mineral spirits if thinning. - A: Absolutely! Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm and Implement Paint can be thin, If necessary, with mineral spirits. For brush, roller or airless spray application, thinning is not normally required. If thinning is required for airless spraying, thing up to 5% by volume. For air-atomized spray, thin up to 15% by volume. Do not thin with gasoline, lacquer thinner, turpentine. Follow these guidelines but refer to the spray equipment manufacturer’s instructions for oil-based paint; for airless spraying, the pump ratio 30:1, Fluid Pressure 1,600-2,400 psi, Fluid Tip 0.013-0.017, Filter Mesh 100. I've painted my 99 Ram 1500 with this red tractor paint after watching a video where a couple used it on a van. It rolled on easily and dried fairly quickly. After a year I had to redo the hood that was flaking. Now another year and the passenger door is losing sheets. I didn't prime but that is what it is sold as. My problems just seem to be related to nothing to grab on to despite scratching with sandpaper and cleaning.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for the feedback on Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm and Implement Paint. For the best adhesion, clean, sand and dry the surface. Then prime with Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm and Implement Gray Primer. Allow the primer to dry for 24 hours before applying the topcoat.

Great paint

I used this paint on an older tractor I have been restoring. This paint stuck great and covered nicely. Did a little sanding on the parts I painted and it went on great. Spray is strong and even and doesnt run even when put on a little heavy.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a great Ford Blue paint! First off, it matched our ford tractor perfectly! We also have a few antique toy tractors we’ve had lying around in desperate need of some love and this paint made them look brand new!

Bought the fit husband who is always fixing up his cars paint due to rusting from being older. He loves how durable it is post application and how quickly it dries. It also doesn’t leave streaks for noticeable differences.
