Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great!! Painted a trailer with this by spray gun. I used the hardener and reducer, the paint came out very nice. It had a nice shine to it, layed flat, and was hard the next day when I checked it. would definitely use again.

Can I use this on a fiberglass cover?

Asked by: 48fordf1
Majic T&I Enamels may be used on clean, and properly prepared, fiberglass. All dust, dirt or other surface contaminants should be removed with a phosphate-free detergent wash, rinsed with clean water and allowed to dry. Oil & grease may be removed by solvent wiping surface with Mineral Spirits. Any loose, or peeling paint must be scraped clean then sanded to feather out blunt edges of tightly adhering, remaining paint. Glossy, slick surface should be sanded with a medium grade sandpaper to create a necessary profile for a good mechanical bond with paint – and for best results, any bare fiberglass (new or aged) should be sanded then primed with either the Tractor & Implement Red Oxide Primer (8-2989), or Sandable Gray Primer (8-6055). Please read, and follow, all label directions in terms of preparation, and application, with special attention to the recommended applied thickness & “allowable” re-coat times. Product applied too heavily, and/or re-coated too soon may result in a film that won’t dry “hard” for several days…or longer.

Does this paint require hardener?

Asked by: Anonymous
Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement Enamels are very tough & durable, hard-drying oil/alkyd enamels, and the use of a Catalyst Hardener is NOT required. Having said that, benefits will be realized by adding a Catalyst Hardener, in terms of an overall harder finish, and accelerated cure of the applied film. Always follow mixing, safety and disposal instructions carefully, and use only with Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement Enamels (do not use with Majic T&I Primers, or Clear Coat). When applying Majic T&I coatings, make sure to apply in thin coats (recommended 2.5 mils wet), and allow a full 24 hours to dry between coats (too heavy an application, and/or re-coating too soon, will result in a film that won’t dry “hard” for several days…or longer).
