Sprayer does not connect!

Whoever engineered this container failed badly, and it seems there is no quality control to notice! Instructions say to push the hose nozzle into the hole in the cap, and turn the lever to "X" to close it. The nozzle does not stick at all, and there is no X on the cap. You must transfer the product to a different container in order to use it. Very disappointing!
