Mighty Mule automatic gate opener

I am a 73 yr old woman, and I installed this myself in less than one full day. Once I made sure I had my glasses, the instructions were fairly easy to follow. The only problem was that the wire connectors for the battery harness were different than the ones in the control box, so I had to go to the hardware store to get some to replace the wire ends. Other than that, few curse words.

Weak remote signal

Very poor range on remotes. I have installed wood by the antenna to shield from metal fence and also moved the solar panel as far away as possible. Which is what the help resource suggests. At times i have to walk up to it to make it operate. Three of my four remotes and the key pad have to be replaced. I do t recommend at all. Also getting MIghty Mule on the phone is almost impossible.

This is the second Mighty Mule Gate opener we have had at two different properties, the first one is about six years old and is still working great. Installation was straight forward, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow, it took around an hour from start to finish. I love the new built in battery box on this model that we purchased! I would definitely recommend this gate opener.

Bought the heavy duty gate opener for my farm gate. It was easily installed and came with the ready to use kit. Which included solar panel, battery, battery box, push button openers and hardware. I also bought the automatic gate lock and 2 MM200 keypads for entry and exit. These keypads are much easier to program then others.
