Ghost Controls Dual Swing Dual Automatic Gate Opener Kit for Gates up to 20 ft. Long Per Gate Leaf

I needed replacements for my expensive Liftgate dual driveway gate motors. While searching the internet, I came upon Ghost Controls. Could it be true, good looking equipment, great reviews, and a super price? I watched YouTube videos for three days listening to the pros and cons. I finally decided to make the switch to Ghost Controls. I ordered the Decorative Series Dual Automatic motors. I started tracking my package and in three days, it arrived. The equipment was well-packaged and the instruction booklet wasn’t too bad at all. There were lots of options available like the keypad and additional wireless controllers…I bought it all and it was all there. I had to use a little ingenuity to make the motors fit my gates. The only install problem I encountered was the fact that the motors are housed in a pretty thick case, so be dang sure to account for that when measuring how close the units get to the actual gate when fully open. I use the pull-to-open configuration and when fully open, the casings were hitting my gates. I tried to use my original mounting locations and it just wouldn’t work. So I used the included brackets, and I mounted them in a new location closer to the hinges. It all worked out great. It’s been a month and I’m good with Ghost Controls. Pros: great looking units, easy install, great price Cons: motor housings are a little big and the gates open and close a lot slower than I was used to. I will use them again if the need ever arises.

The opener was easy to install with few hitches. I was only missing a few things. It did not come with the backing plates to mount the opener to the gate so I just installed without them. They are small two hole rectangular plates that go on the back of where the opener mounts to the rail on your gate. My kit was also missing the 4 bolts to attach the closing plate. I went to the hardware store and bought. I am sure they would send to me if I called and asked but I was already in it and could not wait with it almost done. It works great and I am very happy. The phone app is killer. Good product.

Opener works great, easy install, easy to adjust gates. No complaints.

Purchased the DD2U Ghost controls kit with the additional "smart" option for using the opener with my phone / wifi / etc. Everything showed up exactly as advertised, no issues at all with shipping. Kit was very straightforward and instructions were easy to understand and install. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to get a gate opener. I've been using it for about a month now with no issues.
