The Ghost Controls Single Swing Manor Series Gate Opener Kit for Gates up to 16-20 ft. L or 1,000 lb. is designed for column-mounted or larger driveway gates. It's perfect for all types of residential single driveway gates, including decorative, chain link, tube, plantation and wood. The Ghost Controls Manor Series gate opener can be made into a solar gate opener by adding either a 10 W or 30 W solar panel to your kit (sold separately). This product is quiet, has a great remote range of up to 1,000 ft., and is one of the easiest DIY gate openers on the market to install. The Ghost Controls gate opener does not come with a battery (a 12V battery is required).

  • Ghost Controls gate opener is for single-column mounted and oversized gates up to 1,000 lb. or up to 16 - 20 ft. in length
  • Perfect for all types of residential single driveway gates, including decorative, chain link, tube, plantation and wood (not recommended for solid panel gates)
  • Includes a gate opener arm, a control box with control panel, a 5-button remote transmitter with party mode and visor clip, an estate bracket, mounting hardware, a battery harness, an AC transformer and an instruction manual
  • 12V deep-cycle battery is sold separately
  • Gate Opener Remote Range up to 1,000 ft.
  • No welding or high-voltage electrical connections are required
  • All necessary installation hardware and fasteners are included (installs with commonly available tools)

Doesn't work in the cold

I have owned my Ghost Controls gate opener for about six years now. When its warm out, it works great (although there is no scheduler to open/close the gate at specific times). However, when the temperature drops below 32 degrees, the gate opener stops working. Plain and simple...sits there and beeps at you but won't budge. I've contacted Support, and their best answer is to cycle power, which doesn't resolve the issue. I also have the Zombie Lock, which won't unlock when the gate opener stops working. Turns out the Zombie Lock lock rusts out too, so good luck.

Stall force is way too weak. any wind at all will stop it. wont even close tight at all. have spoke with you , and tried everything you said. didnt help. need to do an update on the stall force. needs to be much stronger.

This is an update from my previous review.I have encountered problems .Will not work if the wind is much more than 15 miles per hour. i had a mighty mule before this one , and I could adjust the stall force to where you could not push the gate open more then 4 inches. The wind had no effect on it.The ghost opener is so weak , you can push the gate open enough to walk right thru the gate. Stall force is super weak, and thats no good on a gate opener. I have contacted Ghost controls , and they walked me thru setting the stall force. set to the strongest setting , it is super weak. Had it for a few months . Taking it down and getting another Mighty mule.
