Q: Can remote be programmed to remain open until the next command is given?

- A: Howdy neighbor! While the remote itself cannot be programmed to toggle a "stay open" command, you can easily achieve this by turning the "Auto Close Time" knob completely to the OFF position on your gate's main circuit board. Once this adjustment is made, pressing your remote will open the gates and keep them open indefinitely until you press the button a second time to close them. Alternatively, you can simply press the remote button while the gates are actively swinging open to temporarily pause and hold them in place.16 days agoHelpful?

Q: My gate openers wont stay open for the full duration on the control box. I tested them without being attached to the gate and they close instantly after opening. So the arms arent binding and the circuit board is not bad either. Any suggestions?

- A: Hi Rick, great question, our Mighty Mule gate openers are compatiable with Homelink. Please go on Homelink.com under vehicle and see if your vehicle is listed. If yes, please follow the instructions. If not, you may want to add our MMS100 which is the bridge needed to communicate to our MIghty Mule App. This way you can open and close your gate from your phone. Q: Do you have to run a wire under ground from one controller to the other?

Yes, on a dual arm system the secondary arm will need to be connected to the primary arm (where controller resides) by running conduit under the ground feeding power and low voltage (control) through it, back to the control box (Primary Arm). Below are excerpts for the MM371W installation manual. The Mighty Mule Gate Operator meets all of the safety requirements of a Class I Residential Vehicular Gate Operator and is intended for use solely with vehicular swing gates in single-family residential applications that meet the Class I category listed in the table below. Residential Vehicular Gate Operator-Class I: A vehicular gate operator (or system) intended for use in garages or parking areas associated with a residence of one-to-four single families. The Mighty Mule Gate Operator is designed for installation for single or dual gates. The gate(s) must not exceed 16 feet in length or weigh more than 550 pounds (please see Technical Specifications on page 10). Remote reception can be very poor at times.

The gate opener works very nice, with one issue. The reception from the remotes are very poor, sometimes having to get out of the car and walk within 5 feet of the control. I added a aftermarket antenna much larger and it improved quite substantially…

Used to be Good - Not Anymore

I have had nothing but issues with this gate system. About 3 years ago when we purchased it, the customer service was impeccable! Now, they have been bought out by a large corporation and no one cares in customer support.
I have replaced multiple parts (arms and control board) due to their troubleshooting to find out that it was actually a cable issue. Cost me hundreds of dollars to not fix the original issue. Now my new control board replacement (that was purchased 8 months ago) is already failing (confirmed by my call today with the tech support). Then I learn that replacement parts (even purchased from them direct) are only warrantied for 6 months. How convenient that at 8 months they are off the hook. Why would I continue to purchase replacement parts that are only good for 6 months? Make a better replacement product.
A little care and a small act of good faith in your product would have gone a long way.
I will never recommend Might Mule. Don’t waste your money or time.

Initial impressions before the installation begins. You're gonna need more than just what's in the box for a standard gate with vertical square rods. For example, I've already had to go buy flat bar stock (plus nuts, bolts washers, etc) to make the included gate brackets work properly with the gate. Next I'll be buying conduit and renting a trencher to lay the conduit and wiring across the driveway. This ain't no one day project.
