Q: what is the mix for this paint
Anonymous7 years ago1 Answer
- A: Majic Tractor, Truck & Implement products are tough & durable, hard-drying & high solids alkyd coatings. Reduction is usually recommended for best results – for spray application, the mix ratio for reduction is 8:1 with Majic Reducer (8 parts Majic T&I Primer, or finish, to 1 part Majic Reducer) – between 5-10% reduction for brush or roller application. Please note that with Majic Tractor & Implement products, the recommended applied thickness is 2.5 – 3.0 mils wet (a very thin application). Proper reduction is necessary for a correct atomization of product (when spraying), and aids in the flow & leveling of the applied film (brush, roll or spray). Reduction also helps to manage/control the applied thickness (coating applied too heavily will result in film that won’t dry “hard” for several days…or longer). Please also note that the allowable re-coat time of Majic T&I products is 24 hours (minimum). A second mixture to consider when using Majic Tractor & Implement Enamels is Majic Catalyst Hardener (#8-0950). Majic Catalyst Hardener is an optional accessory for use with Majic T&I Enamels that will produce a harder finish, and accelerated “cure” time of the film. The mix ratio for Majic Catalyst Hardener is 16:1 (16 parts Majic T&I Enamel to 1 part Majic Catalyst Hardener). Please read, and strictly follow, all mixing, safety and disposal instructions when working with Majic Catalyst Hardener. Mix Majic Catalyst Hardener thoroughly into Majic T&I Enamel, and allow to set, undisturbed, for 20-30 minutes…Add appropriate mix of Majic Reducer, and apply. Again, apply in thin coats & 24 hours between coats (minimum) is necessary. Majic Catalyst Hardener is not recommended for use with Majic Tractor & Implement Primers, or optional Clear Coat.7 years agoHelpful?

Outrageously Thick, Unbrushable.
Used with paint brush. Outrageously thick paint, never seen anything like it. Instructions say: "do not ever thin if you are using a brush." Paint never level out. Will have to sand down to smooth out and then apply spray can paint over it. Will return product.
