Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feeder/water combo I love this product because it is less messy than most feeders or waters and I love that I can use it both ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great starter feeder/waterer. Great starter feeder and waterer for chicks. Great value for the price and easy to clean. I didn't have any problems with any leaks or spills. I had one for water and one for the feed. Works fine for 4 chicks and I also had 2 ducks in the brooder with them. I would also put water that the ducks could dunk there heads in while I was out with them. The ducks empty out the waterer and can cause the the feeder to clump up at them bottom. I still give it 5 stars because it's listed as a chick feeder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chick feeders These are a perfect size for my small brooder. The size makes it easier to clean and fill them. I only fill the chick feed half way to avoid waste. My babies use a good bit of water so I fill it completely. Definetly would recommened this product.

How young of a chick can use this feeder/ waterer?

Asked by: KS22
you can use with small chicks (newly hatched) as long as they can't fall in the trough, that is why it is narrow. If concerned you can add pebbles or other small rocks to keep them out of the water until feathers come in.

How many chicks can this feed?

Asked by: Dan 665
It will vary based on the birds' appetites, but this item is big enough to feed about 10-14 baby chicks per day.

Can this be washed in the dishwasher? Can I use bleach to clean it?

Asked by: Liz118
No you cannot wash the baby chicken feeder in a dishwasher. It should be washed in hot soapy dish water just as you would your dishes. You could use some bleach in with the water but I would not recommend straight bleach for cleaning.
