No, you need to read the manual, especially the part about "rinsing after use....etc." Have used these pumps for years using 2-4D, pasture guard, roundup, tordon-22 with NO problems..

Only for Light Duty

I sprayed 2,4D for one season and apparently it wasn't up for the task. After reading in detail, found out it can't handle this type of chemical. The impeller had a catastrophic failure and completely deteriorated as I attempted to use it this season. Read the small print (and the details in the manual charts in the back!)

    Worthwhile upgrade

I've been using the Hypro 6500 series pumps for my boom sprayer for over 20 years. I had to replace my pump this spring and couldn't find a 6500 anywhere. I initially bought this model because I could not find anything else; turns out it is a very good upgrade. The 6500 pumps only have a 5/8" diameter input shaft, were the 7500 has a 15/16" shaft, 50% larger. The PTO couplers for the small shaft models only have 1 set screw to connect the coupler to the shaft; in my opinion the weakest part. The 7500 models have a keyway and the couplers that diameter are also keyed with 2 set screws, it's a much more solid mechanical connection. The GPM delivery of the 7500 is more than I need, but it does a great job of recirculation keeping my tank mix well agitated. In my experience, it's a quantum improvement for very little more money.
