A great benchtop metal lathe for turning tools and parts. The G0752 10" x 22" Variable-Speed Lathe should be a welcomed addition to your garage or workshop.

The variable-speed spindle control with a digital RPM readout on the headstock allows you to dial in the exact spindle speed you need between 100-2000 RPM with the turn of a dial.

A Delta variable-frequency driver inverter (VFD) ensures smooth, consistent torque at every speed from the 1 HP 3-phase motor without requiring a 3-phase power.

The VFD saves you money by increasing the efficiency of the motor and decreasing electricity use, reducing wear and tear on the motor.

The beds are constructed have been precision-ground and hardened in the traditional three-V prismatic design.

The carriage has power feed capability when it is engaged with the lead screw.

The spindle has an MT#4 taper and 25mm bore. The tailstock quill offers 2-1/2" of travel and has a MT#3 taper.

The optional T27838 or T27839 Cabinet Stands allow for a more organized and stable base for turning operations.

The G0752 manual was written by our U.S.-based Documentation Department and is packed with useful information.

      Nice Little Lathe

I've now had this machine in my basement for about 7 months. I've done several small projects on it and it's done everything I needed it to do. I will use it a lot more when winter sets in and I have more time on my hands, but I'm already impressed with it. The first thing I did was to install a quick change tool post. This makes it much more user friendly. Runs smoothly. Accuracy is good. I was a machinist for nearly 40 years before I retired and knew I would miss being able to make little things for myself. This is an enjoyable machine to use. Highly recommend.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

The 10x22 Variable-Speed Lathe. I have the identical machine with the DRO, the 10x22 Variable-Speed Lathe is rather enjoyable to operate. It does not however possess the capability of cutting left to right i.e. left hand thread cutting or if you will, cutting away from the chuck, that is what it is missing. Smaller and larger machine possess this capability. I enjoy left to right turning due to increased safety in operation. I would give 7 to 10 stars for the 10x22 Variable-Speed Lathe if it possessed this left to right cutting capability. I did not realize the importance of this left to right cutting when I purchased my 10x22 Variable-Speed Lathe. But I will not discard it because of this shortfall, I have the 7x14, the 8x16 and 12x36 that do possess this ability. The 10x22 Variable-Speed Lathe is a very nice size machine; I like it. I like the 1-hp motor which should be minimum for any benchtop lathe. The BIG-BOY lever lock would have been nice on the tailstock also, my other machines have this as well. The Chinese machines are a hobbyist's dream. You clean them up, do the final refinement and tweak them to your satisfaction and presto you have a wonderful machine.

      Fantastic product!

The lathe operates very nicely and accurately, but the controller and motor cooling fans are a bit too noisey. Another irritating problem is how the underside of the lathe bed has a taper to it, so when the tailstock is unlocked and slided towards the headstock, there is a uneven locking location of the tailstock clamping plate action. It mike's out to .230" taper from the end of the bed to the headstock. I had the same problem on the belt drive version of this lathe style, so vendor making this lathe bed has sloppy quality control issues and the same mistake is being made for the last 12 years! Grizzly doesn't watch their vendor quality issues very well, it seems.
