A great entry-level wood lathe for turning bowls and spindles up to 13" long. The Grizzly T32536 8" x 13" Benchtop Wood Lathe offers the precision and control that pen turners and miniature hobbyists demand.

The T32536 features cast-iron construction, a 5-3/4" faceplate, 8" of swing over the bed, and 13" of distance between centers.

This lathe comes with two interchangeable 4-1/4" and 7" tool rests. When in use, either tool rest will lock into a sturdy, quick-adjust base to maximize support where cutting occurs and minimizes leverage.

The tailstock has an MT#1 taper, fine adjustment knob, and is equipped with a cam-action clamping system allowing it to be positioned anywhere along the bed with ease.

Easily adjust the variable-speed range between 750-3200 RPM with the twist of the spindle speed dial.

Extra-large knurled spindle and tailstock knobs help provide an ergonomic grip for manually rotating your workpiece and changing out centers.

Like all Grizzly lathes, the T32536 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.)

The T32536 manual was written by our U.S.-based Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual makes it easier to assemble and maintain your lathe.

Parts for the lathe may be available online and shipped from the Grizzly parts warehouse in Springfield, MO.

A: Thanks for reaching out. The maximum size is 8", or slightly less depending on the shape, because the tool rest can be positioned just outside the edge of the bowl.

Horrible headstock

Have had this lathe over a year. This could have been a stellar product, but my horrible experience with the tailstock makes using it more of a pain than a blessing. The headstock has been very difficult to operate since day one. It takes enormous effort to tighten the quill and no amount of adjustment makes up for what seems to be poor design and workmanship

Nice but underpowered

The lathe is very nicely made but the motor is definitely undersized so turning anything large than a couple of inches is very tedious. Saying it has 8” capacity is a bit misleading.

Not Happy

I am extremely disappointed in this lathe. I have spoken with two Grizzly support specialists and finally was told that a chuck with three OR four jaws was not available. Apparently the spindle shoulder design is flawed. I would have purchased a different unit had I known this in advance. Not good. Grizzly needs to make it absolutely clear that a chuck for this particular lathe is not available. Ending on a positive note however - the support specialists were very responsive in researching this problem.
