Refining the benchtop lathe. The Grizzly T25920 12" x 18" Variable-Speed Wood Lathe comes with a standard 3/4 HP motor. The variable speed control gives you the range (300-3700 RPM) and flexibility for any turning project. Heavy-duty cast-iron construction provides plenty of mass and stability for wood turning. Bolt up to the 3-1/4" faceplate and turn plates and bowls up to 12" wide and spindles up to 16-1/2" long.

The 8" x 30" footprint won't take up a ton of space on your workbench. Add the optional T27327 Bed Extension and you've got a full-size lathe that can turn up to 40" between centers.

The T25920 is the perfect lathe for pen turning, bowl work or those new to wood turning. Setup out of the box is simple and you will be turning in no time!

Like all of the Grizzly lathes, the T25920 comes with a 1-year warranty covering parts and assuring the unit is free from factory defects.

The manual for the T25920 was written by our U.S.-based Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual makes it easier to assemble and maintain your lathe.

The Grizzly Technical Support team is U.S.-based. Parts for the lathe may be available online and shipped from the Grizzly parts warehouse in Springfield, MO. SPECIFICATIONS:

New to turning

I’ve been wood turning for about 7 months now and decided to buy myself a new one and retire my stater lathe. I absolutely love this lathe. Being able to dial/turn up the throttle vs having to change the belt position every time has been a game changer. The quality seems very sturdy and nice. I like that I will be able to get the bed extender at some point as well. My centers line up perfectly and I couldn’t be more happy with this lathe. It’s heavy but not too heavy that I can’t pack it up and bring it with me places. I’m a firefighter so when I have down time (mostly in the evenings) I bring this bad boy out and get some turning in instead of plopping myself in the recliners watching tv. I will eventually upgrade as soon as I have enough room.

Yes, I recommend this product.

It’s great to hear how much you’re enjoying your new lathe! Upgrading to variable speed control really is a game changer, and we’re glad it’s made such a big difference in your workflow. It sounds like this lathe is giving the flexibility and performance you were looking for, while still being portable. And we love hearing how you’re putting it to use during downtime at the fire station, what a great way to unwind and stay creative. Thank you for the important work you do, and for choosing our equipment to support your craft!

First wood lathe

First time owning or running a lathe. Turned a couple small bowls without a lot of complications. Like the machine and think it's the right size for me. I would highly recommend to anyone to buy the chuck set to complete the turning process of different sizes and shapes.

Yes, I recommend this product.
