(read / pub-sub) These features would align the Aladdin/Genie platform more closely with modern IoT/automation ecosystems, enabling smoother integration into platforms such as Home Assistant, Alexa, SmartThings, etc. How To Tell Whether Your Unit Has a Door-Position Sensor Here are the key identifiers and checks: The accessory part number for the extra DPS is 39279R / ALDPS-R for the Aladdin Connect kit. The Genie Company +2 The Home Depot +2 According to the setup FAQs: when you pull the activation tab on the DPS the LED will flash blue and the module will register that sensor. The Genie Company Importantly: One question from users: “I have the Genie 2128 Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi opener on all three of my garage doors. Do I need the Aladdin Connect door position sensors?” The answer: No, the 2128 already has the integrated Aladdin Connect — thus a separate DPS may not be required.
