Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this for blasting media I should have listened to the guy who wrote the review saying he could not get it to come out of his blaster nozzle because of the irregular long cone shaped pieces. Nozzle had a hole almost 3/16 and it still would not come out. This is a complete waste of money for the intended purpose. And no they have not changed it like they commented to his review. As far as trying to take it back it would cost me more than it is worth.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from dont use in pressurized tank from TSC No nozzle size is large enough to keep from plugging up the tip I have tried all the tip sizes for the 20lb pressurized tank I purchased from TSC. Some of the grit particles are rod shaped and turn sideways in the tip. I could not get this to run at all where sand works perfectly. I have plenty of pressure and volume from my 10 hp 2 stage compressor and 1/2 inch feed line. The sideways rod shaped grits are just too large for this blasting unit.

what is the hardness of black diamond

Asked by: tumbler
The medium is recommended for: rust, mill scale, enamels and acrylics, and exposed aggregates. It produces a moderate profile and is used for a white to near-white blast.

I see on the bad the product needs to remain dry, what happens to it if it gets wet?

Asked by: MichaelD78
If the bag or product gets wet it will clump together and harden resulting in it being unusable.

Asked by: Joseph Pa
The Black Diamond product has been used in this application in the past by other customers. We are not aware of the specific mix ratios that were utilized in order to achieve the desired result. We would recommend testing a small area and making adjustments as needed.

Asked by: JR BUSTOS
30/60 grit sandpaper is considered course, but this medium grit abrasive media will work well for your purposes. This product will cut through paint and rust quite fast, and a more course product is not necessary in most cases.
