Got this kayak last weekend. Perfect starting kayak. Been out on the bay and already in rough conditions. I was getting ready to leave when the swells got up to 8.2 at 9 seconds. It handled great and was able to get back to shore from launching on the beach. One thing I do recommend is going and getting some 8m 1-25 stainless steel bolts with some rubber washers, and some nuts and replacing the seat clips. After about 16 hours of use and taking the seat off the clean everything. They just wouldn’t stay in and I found myself slipping around in the seat. All and all other than wanting to buy a ton of attachments and some other rod holders to install it’s 10/10.

The kayak is fantastic! The customer service at Tractor supply stinks. It seemed like we were non existant as they were conversing amongst themselves, if not on their phones. But this isnt the 1st time i had a bad experience here, it happened once before when i was buying a grill, they wanted to sell me the scratched grill on the floor instead of giving me a new one out of the box. Not impressed with the Swansea, Ma store.

I love this kayak. It has great colors which are a bonus. lol 😉 it has compartments in the hull that are very large and accommodate quite a few items. I can fit a towel rolled up in one of them. It maneuvers easily through the water. The only thing I’d have as a negative, is after spending a good amount of time in it, like hour plus, my butt hurt. The padding on the back is sufficient but the actual seat padding is not thick enough in my opinion. Overall absolute great kayak! And great price.

I purchased this kayak 2 weeks ago and have used it 3 times roughly 8 hours of use on the water. The evoke does track well and seems pretty quick. This is the good. The paddle that came with the kayak is 2 pieces and slide together and lock with a pin. My paddle was flattened on the end that slides in rendering it useless. The  pins that hold the seat in place pull out after the first use so I will have to come up with a better solution in time. All in all the kayak seems good but it’s useless without a paddle that locks together
