Q: Can this generator run a 7.5hp motor with a 3 phase connection?
10 months ago- A: No, our generators would only be capable of single phase output.10 months ago
Q: What type of gas is recommended
10 months ago- A: This generator can accept 87 Octane gasoline or higher.10 months ago
Q: Planning to buy this XP15000HX; do I need to buy both the R510A transfer switch and the Inlet Box PB50 to hook it up to the house?
11 months ago- A: Yes, both of these items will be required to hook the generator up toa home; or you could choose an interlock kit instead of a transfer switch.11 months ago
Q: Without knowing exacts, could the xp15000hx be plugged into an outdoor switch box powering a 2 ton a/c and minimal lights only? No range or clothes dryer.
11 months ago- A: This generator can handle a 2 ton AC unit with lights without an issue; however, the generator should be hooked to the home using a transfer switch or interlock kit.11 months ago
Q: Currently have xp13000eh and home hook ups, 50 and 30 watt chords, lock out switches, etc. Would the 15000eh require anything different or will it simply be a seamless transition by just adding more watts?
11 months ago- A: Adding more current is not seamless! The 30A and 50A typically have different cord outlets, so if you are plugging into a home power inlet make sure it matches. The 50A will also require a heavier gauge wire than a 30A, so you should verify what is wired up to the electrical panel and that it will handle the current load. The breaker you are feeding into the box should also match or be larger. i.e. if you have a 50A Breaker, it can be used for either, if a 30A Breaker, do not put the 50A on it or it will likely trip a lot under load. (The entire circuit: cord, power inlet, wire and breakers all need to match the rated levels! If you exceed their ratings, you could have a major failure and fire. It is why you can't simply add more wattage/current, it will depend on the current configuration) I have the XP15000HX and set it up to run Propane with the 50A service from the generator to the panel and use a generator lockout to feed selected circuits in the house.11 months ago
Q: I've been running this unit with no load for about 20 minutes each month to keep the battery charged, the fuel from going bad and everything else lubricated and working. Is there a formal recommendation that follows a schedule like this?
a year ago- A: The maintenance schedule found in our product manuals goes into detail regarding maintenance for generator use within 30 days, generator storage within 30 days, and generator storage outside 30 days.11 months ago
Q: What are the dimensions.. we want to put ot on our food trailer and need a box built for it. How quite is it?
a year ago- A: The dimensions are 36"-Long x 33.2"-Wide x 32"-High. The dB rating is 78 dB at a 50% load.11 months ago
Q: how much propane does it use
a year ago- A: This generator will consume about 1.25 gallons of propane per hour on a 50% load.11 months ago
Q: how noisy
a year ago- A: This generator is very quiet for its size and produces only about 78 dB at a 50% load.a year ago
Q: Does this generator come with remote control
