Q: generator starts. when moving choke to open position, sounds like it is going to cut off. what is wrong?

  • A: Typically if this happens its due to a clog in the carburetor that isn't allowing enough through, so the generator will need to be ran more rich to continue running smoothly. Common reasons this may happen is due to leaving older gasoline in the generator. We could help you with fixing this issue, please contact us at 844-DUROMAX for further assistance.

Power that will surprise you

The 5,500 Watt Dual Fuel Portable HX Generator w/ CO Alert has been steadfast in its reliability. It consistently starts, runs seamlessly and has provided well over a hundred hours of power for our off grid cabin. The dual fuel feature gives us flexibility in fuel source. It is by far the cleanest, smoothest running generator to be utilized on our property and I would recommend the brand whole heartedly.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great generator!

This thing is a beast! We love it! The fact that it also runs on propane is pretty awesome. Only complaint is that there was some damage during shipping. Doesn’t affect operation but still kinda disappointing.

Yes, I recommend this product.
