Choose this DEWALT 20V Max XR Brushless 4.5 in. Grinder Tool for your next big project! This brushless motor grinder requires no brush changes and offers a long motor life. This grinder tool offers a high level of protection with its no volt release function and kickback brake. The kickback break engages maximum force to stop the wheel when there is a pinch, stall or bind up to reduce kickback. The grinder also shuts off during those events to protect the user.

  • Brushless motor requires no brush changes
  • Brake stops wheel in 2 seconds or less on average
  • Kickback Brake engages when a pinch, stall, or bind-up event is sensed and the electronic brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel, reduce the movement of the grinder and shut the grinder off
  • ON/OFF trigger switch has a no-volt release function
  • Two stage trigger requires two actions to activate tool
  • Battery and charger sold separately
  • In the event of a power outage or other unexpected shut down, the trigger switch will need to be cycled (turned off and then on) to restart tool
  • Ideal applications for this grinder: Metal Grinding; Metal Cutting; Cutting Bricks/Pavers; Concrete Cutting; Concrete Surfacing

Supreme Grinder

As a licensed electrician, this powerhouse has come in handy many times when needing to cut, grind, or sand down different parts and hardware for commercial projects and has lasted me years of abuse. A must have versatile tool for any serious tradesman!

Run time is poor

First, I have typically had good luck with Dewalt tools. This grinder disappoints. I have had this about 6months. I tried to figure out if the grinder, the charger, or the batteries were defective. Shame on me for not investigating a product properly. I was getting about 10 to 15 minutes run time. Here is why; 800W rating, 20V batteries rated at 4Ahr, so 800W/20V is 40A at full load. 4Ahr/40A is 0.1Hrs, or about 6minutes. What a huge disappointment.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Easy to use great power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple weeks ago to replace my corded grinder that I lost when my shop burned down I had mix of power tool brands before mostly dewalt but had other brands I can tell you I will only be replacing with dewalt I had the old 18v system and they were amazing then I had just started replacing with the 20v system when my shop burned down I will only buy the 20v system they are unstoppable.

Fantastic versatile tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got it to dig myself out of a nasty access hole where I couldn't get mains power - hanging 30 feet down, and off the facade of a building, removing some very shaky old metal work. Now I don't think more than a couple of days have passed before I've used the convenience of cordless power to clean or cut something. Highly recommended - with a big battery pack. It needs some serious juice.
