- A: It requires a 120 volts power to operate. No requirement for water pressure because this is a point of use unit that stores up to 2.5 Gallons of water to supply hot water. Simply tap into the water line and install the heater directly at the sink. No need for costly recirculating lines and pumps.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Does this run (draw energy) constantly? Or does it kick on when a faucet/shower is turned on? If the latter, how long does it take for the water to heat up in an average sink?

- A: Per our Vendor's response to your question: It will draw energy once it heats up the water. The CAMPLUX mini-tank water heater is equipped with an adjustable thermostat that once set will automatically control water temperature. The red indicator lamp remains illuminated while the water is being heated. It will remain heated as long as the water heater is turned on. It holds water it is a minitank, then the water will be heated for 15 mins.5 years agoHelpful?

Everything as advertised, Works great for my off-grid cabin running on solar power. Enough kitchen sink water to do dishes and general clean-up. Heats water in about 30 minutes.
