Super easy to build a fireplace around it. Just make sure the top has some sort of high heat thermal insulation or heat deflection to protect the fireplace built around the buckstove. If you opt for lone sranding, don't worry about top insulation. Heat my 2,000sq ft house in a little under 30 mins. Super easy to set up and have it heating up the house in no time. I use this in conjunction with my centrail air heater, but the centrail air isn't needed to be honest, although buckstove manual recommends not relying on the fireplace alone.
