Item Information

Protect your animals with the Zareba 25 Mile AC Low Impedance Fence Charger. This powerful 1-joule energizer controls a variety of animals, from rabbits and pigs, to horses and cattle. Besides keeping livestock in it will also help to keep predators out. The 25 Mile Charger will power through heavy weeds with its strong output, although a well-kept fence line is ideal. Extreme vegetation and poly products will reduce the overall power of the fence energizer. The more material along the fence line, the harder the energizer must work to pass voltage through the line. This UL-listed energizer will plug into any standard, 2-prong electrical outlet and should be protected from the elements. Built in the USA, this energizer is tested with a full load at our manufacturing facility and comes with a 2-Year Limited Warranty which includes damage from lightning.

  • Energizes up to 25 miles of fence
  • Works in heavy weed conditions
  • 1 joule output at 75 ohms
  • Built in USA Full-load tested in the U.S. after manufacturing
  • UL Listed, fuseless design
  • 2-Year Limited Warranty including lightning damage

Zareba 25 Mile AC Low Impedance Fence Charger, EAC25M-Z is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Zereba 25 Mile Charger I bought this particular charger because it came highly recommended. I have 5 goats to keep the weeds and brush under control around my home (11 acres parcel). I wanted a hot-wire to keep the goats off my porch and pickups. However, I designed the fence with the intent of plugging the charger up to a 115 outlet out in my corral, about 100 ft distance from the circuit breaker box. The charger would not work plugged in there. I checked the outlet which was hot so, I guess there is too much voltage loss due to the distance. I had to move the charger to an outlet on my porch (much closer to the breaker box), and it worked fine there. But, now I have a "make shift" hot fence instead of the really neat one I had planned on. Soooo... Be sure your plan calls for plugging in the charger near the breaker box (or buy solar powered charger, which I should have done.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plugged right up! Replaced another that quit working. Definitely keeps my goats in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable strong power I purchased a similar product at the begging of spring to protect my vegetable garden from deer "their everywhere". It worked for a time but I was never satisfied at the performance. I haven't put this unit in as of yet, still need to do some tree removal before I install it. I was impressed by the reviews I read about this unit, I was looking for one with only 4 or 5 star rating and it will have to prove me wrong before I will count this one out. If possible I will give an update after installing this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hot Hot Hot We bought this fencer to replace an old one. All I can say is my husband accidentally touched it while handing a treat to one of the horse and it landed him on his butt and the horse also got shock and flew across the pen. This thing would stop a buffalo. Would not recommend it if you have small children around.

will this unit harm dogs that come in contact with it??

Asked by: ihlyjoann
This unit provides a pulsating current and will allow a dog to let go, should they bite the wire.

How many watts does this use per HR? Or KWH's if on 24hrs for a month?

Asked by: Red Maple Farm
A 50 mile energizer will use approximately 3.6 kw per month. The 25 mile energizer will use slightly less than that.

We would like to use this charger to hook up to our chain link fence at our house....  could I wire this in?

Asked by: Ktjt
Our energizers are not recommended for use to power chain link, field fence, chicken wire, or other types of woven fencing. Insulators can be run on the chain link with a single stranded wire that is powered.

Regarding EAC25M-Z: What is the fuseless design and digital timing and what are the benefits of them. I have two Fi-Shock SS-1000X HD and have been absolutely happy with them.

Asked by: Yogi62
Digital timing is a new technology used inside the energizer instead of older analogue circuits. As far as the fuseless design, that also concerns the internal components.

My Zareba 25 mile charger is clicking but the light is not flashing. No limbs or objects on fence. What should I check?

Asked by: RBJB
We recommend testing the energizer under no load with an electric fence tester. Please contact us directly at 1-855-5-ZAREBA (1-855-592-7322) for troubleshooting assistance.

Asked by: NED ROSS
The minimum output voltage recommended to keep out deer is 4,000 - 5,000 volts. This charger has a no-load output voltage of approximately 8,500 volts which is adequate for protecting against deer.
