Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes a great trellis for vining vegetables My current project was to provide a trellis to contain garden vegetables that need someplace to climb (squash, cukes, beans, etc). Had seen a youtube video where they used similar fencing for trellis and also as a structure for greenhouse/cold frame by covering with plastic. The material is solid for both uses - after all, it is meant to contain cattle... It bends enough but holds its shape. I am very happy with it so far. Also saw a compelling application where folks used it instead of standard 2x2s for deck fencing. It was attractive and allowed more visibility than the standard wood. fencing on decks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chicken Wire This is exactly what I needed! I was looking for something to go around the base of a baby tree so animals would not eat the wood. Works perfect! This fence is basically “chicken wire”. Very thin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tomato trellis I'm using these fence panels as trellises for my tomato plants. They are sturdy and should hold up well.

Can I use this to build a dog kennel

Asked by: Danny32
We would recommend something taller for a dog kennel, at least 6 feet.

How much weight could it hold if used as nursery bench?

Asked by: MilkweedGalore
This product is not manufactured for that application so there is not a specific weight to provide.

I have a very exuberant 1 year old yellow lab. My wife wants to keep her out of her garden. I know—a kennel is best—but with Covid-19, I’m watching every dollar I spend. Will this fencing discourage her?  How about your cattle panels?

Asked by: BBlakely
As long as you do not bend these in a 180 degree angle, these should deter your puppy. Bending them that much might break the welds. The only other question would be if your lab would try to jump over them? The cattle panel would be a little taller than the sheep & goat but not as strong.

What is grid size? 4'X4', 5'X5"? or rectangular?

Asked by: Counterdude
The bottom two rows' grid size is 4"H x 8"W. The rest of the grid is spaced at 6"H x 8"W.

I asked earlier about cutting down. I should add that I would be using this as a garden trellis, not as fencing. Does that change your answer at all?

Asked by: Cara0708
Yes you could, we would recommend using bolt cutters or heavy duty cutters to do so.
