The American FarmWorks 1.2 Joule 30-Mile AC-Powered Electric Fence Charger is used to control all livestock, pets and poultry, as well as repel predators and nuisance animals in locations that have access to AC power. The electric fence energizer powers up to 30 miles of fencing and works in heavy weed conditions. Low-impedance electric fence chargers have low internal resistance to allow for increased joules on the fence line. This means that energy can push through weeds or vegetation to keep the fence hot. The versatile 30-mile fence charger can be used with all wire types, including high-tensile metal, polywire, polyrope and polytape. For assurance, the electric fence controller comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

Q: Can the controller be mounted outside
7 days ago- A: Howdy neighbor! The American Farm Works 1.2-Joule AC-Powered Electric Fence Charger cannot be mounted directly outside where it is exposed to the elements. Because it is an AC-powered plugin unit, it must be installed indoors inside a dry barn or shed, or placed completely within a weatherproof, ventilated utility enclosure to prevent rain from shorting out the circuitry.7 days agoHelpful?
Q: How to register electric fence controller online? Says use QR code, but it just takes me to TSC website. Need the 3 year warranty that you must register for.
14 days ago- AI-generatedA: You can register your fence charger by calling customer service. While some users have experienced difficulties using the QR code for online registration, contacting support directly is a successful alternative for securing your warranty.14 days agoHelpful?
Q: Getting a meter reading of 12.5 what does that mean Is that watts, Jules, amps?
a month ago- A: A reading of 12.5 on a fence tester typically refers to voltage (kilovolts), not watts, joules, or amps. That would mean your charger is producing approximately 12,500 volts, which is within the expected output range for an electric fence charger, though actual readings can vary depending on fence conditions and the tester being used.a month agoHelpful?
Q: Can the unit get wet as long as the plug and outlet connection are weather protected?
2 months ago- A: This charger has a weather-resistant housing, so it can handle light exposure to the elements. However, it is not fully waterproof, so it should be installed in a protected location such as under a cover or inside a sheltered area. Even if the outlet is protected, we recommend keeping the unit itself out of direct rain for best performance and longevity.2 months agoHelpful?

Q: I just installed a 30 mile controller on 250 feet of line. Why is the light flashing orange and making clicking sounds?
6 months ago- A: A clicking sound is normal—some chargers make it while others do not. The orange light indicates that the unit is working. If you would like to confirm, you can use a fence tester and perform a no-load test.6 months agoHelpful?
Q: I have a 1.2J, 30 acre energizer. Can you tell me the power consumption? Watts?
6 months ago- A: The exact wattage for this charger isn’t listed, but based on the 1.2-joule output and typical pulse frequency for units in this range, the average power draw is usually around 5–15 watts while operating. A rough estimate is about 10 watts, which comes out to approximately 0.24 kWh per day if running continuously.6 months agoHelpful?
