    Not a replacement

Bought this 2-mile Zareba electric fence charger to replace a similar 2-mile Zareba charger I bought almost a decade ago. Unfortunately, the new charger does not have a pigtail plug in and has to be plugged directly into the electrical outlet. It doesn’t fit my outside outlet. It also does not have an indicator light. I'll have to look elsewhere.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Works well

I bought this to keep my dogs from digging under the wooden fence of the dog run. I think each dog touched the fence once or twice and have not been back to digging since. Since it is not water proof, I have it mounted in a plastic container to keep the rain and snow off of it. I will be buying another one today for my garden to keep out the rabbits and ground hogs.

    For Small areas

I bought this last spring to surround a chicken coop after the neighbor's dogs got my pullets and I had to clean up the mess/replace. I set the charger up inside an inexpensive plastic mailbox and have it connected to about 60 ft of electric poultry netting. So far, my chickens are still alive and it doesn't hurt my feelings to hear the neighborhood roaming dogs yelp in surprise.
