The Turf Sense 50 lb. Dense Shade Mix Grass Seed is a premium seed mix that grows and survives in areas of dense or partial shade to build a thick, green lawn that lasts. Use this grass seed to grow a beautiful new lawn or overseed your current lawn. Additionally, this mix can be used to repair thinning areas and bare spots. The grass seed requires moderate watering after establishment and has a strong resistance against insects and disease. It covers up to 10,000 sq. ft. of area.

Not happy.

With acres of lawn and a few shaddy locations I gave this seed good opportunity to show me if I got my money worth. I planted both new and overseed using an overseeder. After three applications in the newly planted area in with shade 70 percent of the time I have had poor results. This is not good when living in the south and the heat of summer is approaching. I should have a lush lawn by now. I planted two and a half months ago. There are many bare spots. I have no choice but to find a different better top rated southern shade lawn seed and plant as the heat of summer approaches. I'm so unhappy I would like my money back. I've planted many lawns. Many giant lawns. This is the first time a lawn seed has failed me

Seed had a very low germination Rate ! Only about 10% of the planted seed grew at all. Planted other brands in different areas and they did well , suspect faulty seed.

Shady spot grass seed!

I bought several bags of this last year. My yard has lots of mature trees. It all came back up this year and looks amazing. I've already bought another bag to seed a different area of the yard.
