GroundWork Perennial Ryegrass, 50 lb., 201AX0004UC-50 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed. I bought 3 bags of the 50lb seeds. Spent 2 or 3 days preparing the soil and seeding in late March 2020. Started seeing grass within 2 weeks and my lawn was beautiful through May. Then in June the lawn where I sewed the Perennial Ryegrass started to thin and in July practically all the grass has died and my lawn looks terrible. All the work and money spent was a waste. This is terrible seed. Even if you sew the seed in the fall it will not survive the heat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Sprouted and grew in the spring. All died as soon as it got warm despite regular watering. Obviously mislabeled annual or winter rye. Save your money and buy Scotts.

I read in your Q&A that Perennial ryegrass will not come back in the South. I live in Western NC. We have fairly hot July & Aug and my Annual Ryegrass has worked so far. Will it come back for me in NC?

Asked by: odiefred
No, annual ryegrass will die and not come back after 1 season.
